The system tracked over the Ifugao province as it moved northwest over western Luzon before exiting into the South China Sea during the early evening. Weather advisories have been put into place for strong winds, rough seas and heavy rainfall totals across various areas of eastern, northern, and north-central Philippines, with coastal and low-lying areas at moderate-to-high risk of experiencing a storm surge in the coming 48 hours.
Officials evacuated over 8,200 people from flood and landslide prone areas in multiple provinces. Meanwhile, evacuations of 2,500 villages were carried out across Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, and parts of Camarines Sur Province. Airlines have cancelled all flights at Tuguegarao Airport and flights connecting Laoag International Airport and Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. Parts of Philippines are still dealing with the aftermath of Tropical Storm Trami (Kristine), Typhoon Kong-Rey (Leon), and Typhoon Yinxing (Marce), recovery efforts may face significant delays.
